I am somewhat relieved that pants are higher. I am always appalled at the amount of a** crack young girls don't mind showing. As for the extremely high waistline I have seen it work in pencil skirts paired with very, very wide belts. Which helps fight the long butt look. But yeah, for the most part, it does seem like a very unfortunate flashback (especially when pleats are added).
