1. Easter. For starters, our friend Meghan makes adorable bunny ear hats, and Fraser makes a pretty cute bunny if I do say so myself...
On Easter weekend, we headed to the farm where we had a grand ol time with the immediate AND extended T fams. Here's Fraser boy with all his girlie cuzzies...
We stayed at Lando and Marti’s new place which was amazing and super relaxing. As an added bonus, their business (the Sled Parlor) provided plenty of props for Fraser pictures...
Want that bike? Well how convenient... CUZ IT 'S FOR SALE! Check out the ad on kijiji (baby not included)!
"Why hello little kitty"...
A boy after Uncle Lando's heart...
2. Sleep. Oh sweet mercy how that blessed slumber has evaded me. Fraser seems to think it’s fun to pull his mama’s sorry butt out of bed 2 or 3 times EVERY. NIGHT. What’s worse, though, is when LOWELL wakes me up in the night. The other night I woke up to him stroking my hair (which I normally LOVE), kissing my face, and telling me he loved me at 1:47am. That’s sweet and all, Lowell… BUT 1:47AM???!! DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!!
And now a special message for you folks who are lucky enough to have babes that sleep through the night. Count your blessings… and don’t tell me about it.
3. FRASER HAS A TOOTH! On the 15th, Lowell was holding Fraser during supper when he casually announced, “uuhhhh… he has a tooth.” Say WHAT’S THAT NOW? WHEN??!! I feel a little foolish that I hadn’t noticed, but hey, that’s cool!
4. This kid loves food. He has consistently been a little skeptical with the first bite, but then he just laps it up. Carrots = loved.
Peas = loved.
Avocados = a little unsure, but still polished off.
Homemade UNsweetened crabapple sauce = that was kind of mean, Mommy.
His first taste of apple sauce, his first time joining us at the table, AND the discovery of his first tooth all happened when lucky Papa was over for supper (as Nana was out of town).
So thrilled has Papa been with this little guy that he insists we have at least 8 kids if they're all as delightful as Fraser. Good luck with that, Papa! But I must say... Fraser's just as enchanted by YOU!
5. We got to witness Fraser’s BFF’s first time in the pool. Yay Nico!
6. Speaking of best buds.... these two little pals are ALSO pretty enthralled with each other...
SO sweet!
7. Nails. I swear I clip the little guy’s nails every other day but somehow these long, sharp weapons of destruction keep appearing. Combine those with his acrobatic ability to pull his legs to his face, and we have a little boy with legs full of scratches (and a mama with her share of war wounds too!). It looks like he’s been running through the brush...
The good news is that I’ve figured out an efficient, pain-free way of clipping his nails. It’s called ‘put-baby-on-lap-and-clip-nails-while-distracting-said-baby-by-shaking-noise-making-toy-with-your-toes’. Perhaps not the most catchy name for my technique, but it works like a charm.
Now pardon me while I go trim my son's claws...

What a cutie! I hope he figures out how to sleep again. My expectations for sleep are really low (usually not a full night until 11 months). Here's to hoping you don't have to go that long though.
Hey Julie, love checking in every few months and seeing how your little guy is growing!(I was the other girl who commented on being as big as a house and apparently "expecting twins"... Our Sophia was born 3 days after your Fraser, so they are doing a lot of the same things! I totally understand the sleep deprevation to. Sophia was great til gas/teething/who knows what hit at 4.5 months. Average stretch of sleep 1.5 hours, though we have had up to 3.5 the last 3 nights! Most nights I am up 5-9 times... So I know how you feel! But don't the smiles just make it so worth while? And eating all night does make for the cutest chubby baby, she was 18lbs before her 6 month birthday... God Bless!
