I woke up on Sunday morning and thought, 'Well well well. It's Mother's Day... Happy Mother's Day TUH ME!' I mean, I sort of made the day about myself when I was PREGNANT, but this year it's for SURE legit!
Our day was spent doing a triathlon! Not only did my very own mama do it (WONDERWOMAN I tell you!), but we horn-swaggled a posse of close friends to do it with us. The wonderful company made it fantastically crazy amounts of fun. Lowell and I are were particularly lucky because since we did the longer two distances (Lowell = olympic; me = sprint) which started earlier, we had a huge cheering squad (Lowell especially lapped up the extra attention and even paused periodically
during his race to take a bow!).
Lowell is RIPPED (and yes, I love it!)...
We are SO PROUD of all of our friends as it was the first time any of them had done a whole triathlon, and they KILLED IT! They all did amazing, and Chels even got FIRST PLACE! Oh my heart is swollen with pride! I'm glad I wasn't in the same distance as them because it would have been embarrassing had they beat me when I have a few of these things under my belt and they were all newbies! ;)
Papa took Fraser for the morning and then met us at the finish line. Thanks Papa!
Traditional tri shot with the hubs...
With my mama at our Mother's Day triathlon (where we scored a bouquet of flowers for being a mother/daughter racing pair!)...
Later, after a delightful (and much needed) family nap, we stopped for a delectable frosty bevvy to go, and took Fraser and Kums for a lovely walk in the sunshine. So perfect!
Speaking of Moms... Kylie is now the mother of TWO! On May 7th at 3:30pm, Marc, Kylie & Ty welcomed little Ezekiel Thomas.
Marc and Kylie made the adorable kid; Shareen made the precious hat!
(Yes, Kylie looks that amazing after giving birth, and the general consensus is that it's SO UNFAIR!!)
We love that little guy already and can hardly wait to meet him! We also can't wait for some quality time with big bro Ty! Doesn't he look sooooooo BIG??!! Love the baseball cap that my brother wore when
he was little (photo cred to my bro)...
Fraser wore his cheerleading hat for a picture that we had hoped to send Kylie when she was in the thick of things, but Zeke came SO fast (as in 5-minutes-between-hospital-parking-lot-and-birth kind of fast), that we missed it! But, better late than never I always say...
You can read Kylie's account of the birth story

Happy Mother's Week (yes, I am now making it into a WEEK) to all you lovely mamas out there!
