It's not easy being green.

Adjusted expectations combined with mini egg bribery choice, and we totally nailed the two-second-long St. Paddy's photo sesh.

Stefan.
When selecting his tattoos, Fraser requested "the big tree and the basket of oranges." haha!

Stefan.
Fraser.
Stefan.
Fraser.
It was the boys' idea to include Kumeu, and he pulled off the blue steel/trucker look completely on his own.

The boys were super proud of Kumeu for rocking his shots. "Good job Kumeu!" Snuggle snuggle kiss kiss.

Outtakes:
Okay I admit. Not everyone was as into this as me.

A bit of a cold shoulder thing happening.
A lot of nose picking happening. Always.

Also, perhaps simplicity is key to a pseudo successful photo shoot? Simplicity has not been my forte in the past.

Haha. Ya live, ya learn... happy St. Patrick's Day!

Valentine's Photobust: 2015 edition

You may recall our ridiculous Valentine's Photobust of 2014. Somehow between then and now, my standards have been raised (even though my experience over the past year does nothing to back up that questionable assumption).  I actually foresaw both children in the same photo (can you imagine?). And I envisioned the boys wearing bright red lipstick, embracing one other in a loving brotherly hug, smiling naturally, and covering each other with adorable and perfectly-formed kisses. And all of this was to be done outside. So idyllic right?

Wrong.

Well, for starters the lighting was terrible. And I did absolutely nothing about putting any kind of effort in to seek out a location with better lighting.

Stefan continually requested more lipstick then screamed bloody murder when I backed up half a foot to attempt a photo. The poor kid is currently cutting all four two-year molars, so I'll grant him a little grace there (*cringe*).

Meanwhile, there was Fraser.

And that's it. That's all I got.

Hahahaha.

In other news, 12 years ago today, Lowell and I just "hung out" as "friends" and it just happened to be Valentine's Day. Lowell ended up asking me out in the most creative way possible, I said yes, and the rest is history. Best decision ever!

The earliest photo that I could find from our super mature dating days. Yes, we look 12.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Picture perfect!

Rachel Joyce Photography has knocked our socks off once again!

In October 2013, she nailed a G family sesh, and this time she rocked it with the T fam. I had every intention of linking my post of the G family shots for your viewing pleasure, but, um, THERE ISN'T ONE. Uhhhh... PARDON ME??!?! I have blogged about ridiculous meaningless things such as attempting to make pepper-purchasing cheaper by removing the stems... and I didn't blog THAT?! Beloved family photos?! Clearly an oversight that must be remedied... I will simply overload you with photos in this single outrageously long post.

It was a chilly morning in late December when Rachel met us at Mom & Dad T's farm to capture these gems...

Possibly my favourite photo of all time.
Stefan was none to happy with me for dropping him in the car and running. Let's get a close up of that shall we?
Hahaha. Poor sweet soul!
The whole gang!
Each quilt was made by either Rachel herself (I know... the array of her artistic ability is sickening) or Great Grandma T (who also possessed an unfair amount of creative talent).
Grandpa pointing out the intricacies of the quilt ;).

Rachel was so patient even though for SURE she was about to lose a few fingers to frostbite. That's commitment!

And now let's flash back to October 2013. It was also a nippy morning when she snapped THESE beauties of the G fam at Henderson Lake in Lethbridge...

Again... quilt made by Great Grandma T!
Eek how cute?! Fraser was two and Stefan was 6 months... so itty bitty adorable!
The original six.
Twinzies!
Sistas!
Fraser and fun auntie Shareen!

I think it goes without saying that I highly (oh so highly!) recommend Rachel. If you're looking for some outstanding photography from a kind, patient, wonderful-with-kids, quick-witted, easy-on-the-eyes, talented woman... book 'er.
